Dining facilities are now kept open longer to make sure recruits keep their distance and don't rush the counters. If anyone from the cohort turns out to be sick, their entire flight can be isolated. The recruits also live in dorms with fewer people, allowing them extra space in an attempt to lessen the chances of infection spreading. Then they spend the first two weeks doing administrative work, sequestered from the wider basic training population. Now the Air Force screens new recruits for the virus as soon as they arrive at Lackland, asking them questions about their travel history and whether they're experiencing symptoms. You have MTI yelling all the time at first.To wake up,to get dressed,make the bed, To go running downstairs to sing in formation then run up to finish the beds,then back to wall to lineup and goto DFAC for breakfast,lineup ,wait,go inside eat you side stepped wrong, eat ,eat faster,dont look anywhere but your plate,yelling at you for not standing at attention for 3 sec when you sat down to eat.yell at you for not turning a corner properly while you went to throw the trash from your tray,do it again you did it wrong,nope try again,wait outside in formation,go upstairs.that in a span of 30 mins ![]() You cant call whenever you want to.you're in a big room sleeping and showering with strangers.MTI try to drill in your head that we are all a big family and should trust each other. Main stress factors is you cant do anything outside of the planned schedule. I think its more of finally being able to talk to someone that they love that makes them to start crying and/or strain their voice when talking not from suffering at bmt. Well,each of us takes it in their on way.
